Double-concave lens
Double-concave lens is an optical lens with two inward-curved (spherical) surfaces, designed to diverge incident light. Compared to a plano-concave lens, it provides stronger beam divergence due to its symmetrical concave structure, making it suitable for applications requiring significant light spreading.

Strongly diverges parallel light, ideal for beam expansion or optical path adjustment.
Frequently combined with convex lenses (e.g., double-convex lenses) to compensate for aberrations (e.g., chromatic or spherical aberrations).
Applications: Laser beam expanders, imaging systems, telescopes, microscopes, and VR optical assemblies.
